One can argue that taking care of your body, eating healthy, and exercising only delays the inevitable as well. What's your point? Are you simply trying to start an argument?
The fact is PPF, ceramic coatings, or any paint protection for that matter is going to protect the paint and keep it in much better shape for years than unprotected paint.
You're right. Not trying to argue. It's just that a full quality PPF job costs thousands $$.

meh my 2014 4R limited paint held up well for 12 yrs of use. only had the factory PPF installed and it was ok enough for me.

the bad part is if you dont maintain the paint chips you get from rocks/etc with touch up paint.

also i didnt wax it in 12 yrs and i only used brushes car washes. it was fine for my use as i am not as ocd as some people are about the paint.

Undergound, 10,000 miles, got some minor scratch marks to white primer from grit embedded in ice. can't see 'em from 5 feet away and I don't really care, this thing
is gonna get paint stripes from woods buggy duty in New England anyhow. Yeah
day 1 you love to keep it looking mint, but reality is no one cares how special it
looks except you, the owner.

since I am keeping this till the wheels fall off I am not concerned about resale value.

if you are concerned about resale value, then yes baby the heck out of it, the paint
color is pretty thin but the primer isn't
