Reviving this thread, did you ever end up replacing the Combination Meter Glass (#83852-35V00)? I ended up hating the screen protech HD film, I don't have a good opening to remove it. I know there are ways, but now I'm considering just replacing the plastic lens entirely if it's doable. I'm sure when I remove the screen protech film there will be residue left behind.
I never replaced it. I ended up using plastX and it worked a miracle.

I do understand why you ended up using plastX, because in your case you needed something abrasive to combat the goof off. In my case I am just trying to combat the residue left over from the film and the minor scratches (I expect will be there) caused by the squeegee. Thanks for confirming, I think I'll try Novus No. 2, I hear it works well against fine scratches on the driver display.

For anyone considering the Screen Pro Tech films in the future, don't use the driver display HD film, it's horrible. The matte film for the main display works fine.

The driver display HD film ended up settling quite a bit but it took 3 days. Im definitely more satisfied with it now, however there are still minor scuffs Im still trying to figure out how to remove

the biggest issue with the protech screen protectors is the curing time. they say like a few days, but when i put them on the 23 tundra, it took 3 months for the bubbles to disappear but they did eventually.

on my 25 4runner, i have a dime size bubble that developed afterwards on the very left side and some small ones that are about pea size. the small ones have already disappeared.

the other big ones have gone down in size, but its a slow process. should have had a good light source when i did it and not use my figers as a squeegee and left it at that.

now its a matter of pulling it off and using the spare or just wait it out for the bubbles to go down as they eventually will but patience is a virtue i may not have much left of
