Has anyone added spacers to the TRD Skid Plate after you lifted your 4Runner (Only necessary with lift kits that incorporate a differential drop)? If so what did you use?

Very nice!!
Robert just ordered one for my limited.

Power coating it black is the easy part.

How did you keep the TRD letters red ? Did you just have the power coating place tape them off or something ?

Looks SOOOO much better in black.

I got an aluminum Rival skid, quick shipping and very easy to mount up. It doesn't seem like it would hold up well to dragging over rocks, but should suffice for my needs.

Undefeatable

You can remove the red TRD letters, they just clip on.

Probably not, but I promise you at least one of the bolts will be missing or cross threaded the very first oil change they do. If not the first, it will happen on the 2nd.
Remove the plate before going in for service. Easy enough to do and an opportunity to clean out the mud and debris inevitably accumulated underneath.

Such a great idea. Service techs will over tighten those bolts or snap them off. Also a good idea to put some anti seize on the bolts

I just remove the plate before doing my own service. Dealers never touch any vehicle I own.
