I bought the front camera from Beat Sonic. I have begun the install, but the weather is not helping. All I need to do is remove the front bumper and the mechanical louvers inside the grille so I can mount the camera properly. So here are some notes and screenshots, and I will make a video of everything the best I can.
After the head unit is removed, one panel and four 10mm bolts, the harness is all plug and play, with only a few panels needing removal with a small plastic pry tool. I used a snake to run the camera wire behind the dash towards the passenger side, and from the engine bay on the passenger side. There is a quarter size grommet that is easy to remove and reinstall to run the camera wire that has a black and red power/ground with an inline fuse. I ran that camera wire starting in the engine bay and snaking it through to the passenger floor board, and ran the wire up to the head unit. It was very easy. The red and black wires I just prepped with a black webbed sheath and shrink tubing and ran to the battery. This setup will require power and ground for the camera. I have tested it, and everything works, just waiting for time and warm weather to remove the front bumper and complete the mod.
I am going to mount the camera at the top of the top since I have the Heritage grille that has a place for it. To activate the camera, you have the vehicle in drive and press the button once, and the camera activates. There are several programmable functions that I have not explored yet, but I will try to.
