I've been meaning to do a detailed write up / review but haven't had time and will be back on the road starting this weekend for Northwest Overland Rally in Plain, WA and Overland Expo PNW in Redmond, OR. I'll give a short summary for now and hopefully be able to get deeper into it when I return to Lincoln at the end of the month. How have these been working for you?
Any updates on ride quality or usage that anyone should be concerned about?
I’ve been shopping a set for a while but am unable to find any long reviews of their use.
They've been working fantastic and I've put a lot of miles on them on-road and off-road. On road, you probably wouldn't be able to tell much difference between these and Performance Elites. Even if your use-case is moderate offroading I would probably still recommend the PE's over the IBP's because of the price differential. If you do a lot of offroading, the IBP's are the best of the best. Ripping these things offroad feels like being in a well-tuned side-by-side. The bypass zones really work like magic and eat just about everything you can throw at them with no felt top-out, bottom-out, etc, while keeping things smooth and comfortable. I was really wow'ed with them.
On road and for daily driving, they're fine. They feel like a decent shock, but nothing special or exceptional. In the dirt, I really can't imagine a shock being even a fraction as good as these are.
I have maybe 4-5k miles on them currently. So far, so good.
