An update to the dual battery project! Grounds, ignition, and triggers have been run. Drilled a couple of holes to bring the cables through the panels. Also, decided to cover the cargo area with some sound deadening because i was already there. lol

Can I ask what your intentions are with this? What’s your end goal?

Of course! Personally, ease of mind. I go on weeklong camping trips and running compressor, fridge, lights and inverter all off my starter battery makes me worry about draining it. Having a second battery takes that worry away. As for the sound deadening, one of those “i’m already there” things. I took apart panels to get to grounds and signals so decided to sound deaden what i could. I’ve already driven it around and it makes a difference.

Did you notice any difference with all that deadening?

I see. I do some overlanding as well, but I use an EcoFlow River 2, and carry a spare 12V battery that can all be recharged using 12V or solar.
