Driving through Laguna Beach, CA yesterday and I was side swiped by a drunk driver. He swerved into me and then hit another car while trying to pull over. Tore off my fender flare and scraped up my fender and bumper. My heart aches.

Some of the better shops will make that go away looking like new.
You will know of course but repairs and paint can work magic.

Good luck
I hope so! I’m thinking of taking it to one of the Toyota Dealership collision centers

Check around with others that have body work done. Maybe get a reference or two.
I have never had body work done in a dealership. Most of my dealership mechanical repair experiences have not been very good.
Seems the dealerships are always watching the $$$ not the quality of workmanship. IMO
A private shop has to earn their reputation.

Oh dang. I was also in Laguna with my 6th gen yesterday.
Are you going to use this opportunity to get a steel bumper and wider fender flares or are you planning to restore back to stock?
Also keep us updated since I'm curious how long it would take to get all the parts in.

Took my wife’s 2024 Grand Highlander to the dealership for similar damage. They told me up front we do not repair we replace, parts had to come from Japan, it took a month, was expensive but well worth it, paint matched, looked like new and I knew the parts were OEM!

Good idea. I hade something similar (wife scraped driver side against concrete post in parking lot). I went to a Toyota Certified Collision Center for repair. It took about two+ weeks due to part delays. paint, etc. Let me know if you'd like their info, they did a great job (I live in Fullerton, CA).

That would be true for most collision repair centers, it's not particular to a dealership. The days of bondo and paint are mostly gone, particularly with panels that are designed to crumple in an accident.

I appreciate the rec! I live down in San Diego so I’ll take it some place local, leaning towards a Toyota Collision center

I like the sound of that! Thanks. It will be on his insurance so I’m not too concerned about cost!
