He’s got a good podcast, “this car pod” for anyone else out there like me who needs something in their ear for 8 hours a day

Doug didn't like the hybrid 4 in the LC 250 but doesn't have the same complaints in the 4Runner. How did he reconcile that?

I think he likes the fact that the 4Runner stayed true to its form and roots while making progress with newer technologies.

Doug's a very resonable guy, so I'd say that this is a hell of a crown for the 4Runner to wear.

i would say since the LC250 was a complete departure from the LC300 before it was discontinued in the usa, that would be the main issue.

its nowhere even close to the old true LC toyota sold.

at least the new 4R stayed close to its roots within reason, but with the new epa rules, crash requirements, safety rules and bringing it up to date featue/tech wise.

i say they got it as close to you could to keep it like the old 4R's from the past.

i mean i am very happy with my platinum vs my old limited. the key components are still there for me for my situation in ND but i do like the upgrades (no so much the nannies and the back seat config though)

its been a learning/compromise on the nannies that i didnt have in the 14 limited. and the back seat flatness is a big compromise vs the 2014, but its workable since i dont have more than the wife in the front passenger seat or the dog in the back 95% of the time for either
