Has anyone just removed the resonator? Looking for a little more sound from the exhaust and I figure that would be a good start. Or perhaps weld in a viral muffler or something? Thanks

Chris send me a PM. Maybe we could do a swap if you're close to me. I have a 25 TRD Pro, they have no resonator.

I have it removed and replaced with a straight pipe. (Resonator)

Mainly due to off road use.
As for the muffler, we will be replacing at some point to introduce a less restrictive solution.

Which muffler you going to go with?

I installed the Nytop exhaust dump. TRD PRO has no resonator, but I was just trying to create more clearance in the back. But I believe they said you can install this on other models and it deletes the resonator. It’s expensive though. Biggest downside.

SXTH has the Trail Pipe. Basically an axle dump. You lose the resonator but keep the factory muffler. Great clearance and a subtle increase in sound. I use this. Tried the OFG Cat Back from AWE but if couldn’t handle low rpm/high gear scenarios - produced an overwhelming resonance.

I’d love to hear the SXTH. I feel like the Nytop gives more growl and sometimes hear that low rpm/high gear you mention. But can’t tell for myself if it’s worse than the oem pipe.
