I was shocked to get news my red limited was arriving in southern Ontario by mid August. Even better, a red platinum landed in Vancouver BC within the last week or two. Wish the same luck to others!!

Located in Ottawa/Gatineau. I put a deposit on a TRD Pro on 25 Aug. The dealer told me 3 to 8 months. They thought closer to the 3. We’ll see.

Hey Canadian 4R.
I put a deposit down for a TRD ORP gas last week at a dealership in Vancouver. I was really hoping for a hybrid TRD ORP but got scared off by the 2 year wait estimate.

I see lots of hybrid models on this thread, how long was the wait to get one?

Is the long wait time something dealships are saying so they can sell what they have available? Is it worth putting a deposit down at multi dealerships?

Finally - for those worth the hybrid, how to you like the drive?

I didn't bother even putting a deposit down, i just checked all dealers (within my search radius) inventory every morning and as soon as the one came up that fit my specs I contacted the dealer immediately. Instead of waiting for a year like the dealers said it would take if i put a deposit, I had it in 6 weeks.

Alberta here, put down my deposit for a Limited back in May and so far nothing has popped up. I check all Calgary and area dealerships daily. Other than the first batch of blue limited models that showed up in June, there have been no new limited drops other than ones with the fixed step / same for platinum. Talking to my dealership, they basically told me Toyota Canada picks where the cars go and they can request a trim but they have no idea when or what is coming in. At this point I am basically get a 26' or getting a year old 25 if it arrives before November. Original estimation was September - October at the longest from several local dealerships for a Limited trim.

deposits at a few dealerships will increase odds of getting one sooner. its how the Canadian allocation system works.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to drop deposits at a couple of dealerships. I've had some pushback at a dealership on Vancouver island saying they wouldn't take a deposit from me because I didn't live there. This despite the fact that I have a vacation home in the island.

Do a little bit of research about the deposits, I've read more than once that Toyota is ignoring those who have multiple deposits on more than one dealership, again, take that with a grain of salt.

About the wait time, unfortunately it's true, wait times (specially for the Hybrid/top trims) are long and no one has a clue of when those orders will be fulfilled. I was lucky enough to receive my TH not too long ago and I placed two orders (TH and TRD Pro) in the same dealership back in April.

I did a lot of research during that time and it seems that the allocation of vehicles is quite scarce, giving only a handful of vehicles PER REGION, I know of only two Mudbath TRD Pros and Two Trailhunters (one being mine and the other one is a Demo for one of the Dealership's manager?).
I heard of a single Platinum (also belongs to someone in a Dealership) and I saw one ORP in the wild, but that's about it.
So, long waitlists + very few allocations = A long time.

Anyone know at what point we start putting in 2026 orders? I only did a single deposit mostly because I found dealerships that I were not the closest Toyota dealership to my address would not put me on their allocation priority list.

At this point any orders placed now will likely end up being for a 2026 model year unless the dealer still has an allocation left for a 2025. With the wait times and how late in the year it is, I don't see there being many 2025s left for new orders. I placed an order for an Off Road Premium at the dealer I work at and they said it would be a few months at the least and theres just over 3 months left in the year. They also just released the ordering guide for the 2026s the other day(without pricing info).

I've been in and out of Clarington dealership a couple times in the past couple weeks and have seen a couple in their lot. Not sure if they are spoken for, but they seem to be getting them in fairly quick.
