On my ORP I finally found that I could only get the DTR's to work during the "daytime" with the light-switch set to Auto the engine running and Park brake off. As soon as it gets dark like pulling into the garage the "headlights" take over.

Ok I found a fix.

1 Set the Knob switch to parking lights. The one right after Auto
2. In the infotainment screen go to your Toyota menu (not your android auto or carplay)
3. Navigate to Settings, Vehicle Customization, Lights
4. In the Lights menu, you'll see "Daytime running lights". Turn this off. Yes off, menu is on by default.

After turning car off then back on, it may auto back to "on" but change the menu off one more time and it should be permanent.

your 4runner does not have an LED strip that is why it is not working. Only Platinum, Trail Hunter and TRD Pro have that.

Im talking about the daytime running lights at the center. Not the LED strip copied over from Audi from 2012.

I can't post my pic to show you. For some reason it wont let me. Happened multiple times. Its only 180 kB...

Same. Auto must be selected for DRL to work.
