Day Trip to Hollister Hills SVRA today - First time taking the 4Runner off-road
Nice. I’ve been wanting to check this place out, couple buddies said it’s a fun spot to mess around at.

Do it! It's a great place because it eases you into off-roading and then you can tackle harder stuff later.
FYI - I didn't realize you pay to get in, then have to leave and go further down the road for the 4x4 staged areas. The lower area has the 4x4 Obstacle Course, The Quarry and The AdventureTrack, plus tons of trails from easy to expert.
The best part, my 4runner had zero issues on everything I tried. I'm really impressed with the capabilities.
Crawl mode is amazing! Locking the rear diff was the difference between making it and not making it. If you notice in my video, we have a land cruiser attempting the teeter totter. he could not even get on the ramp to do it, his tires kept spinning out. I had no such issues with the locking diff engaged.
I recently went to Hollister with CJ Arnesen of Sierra Nevada Off Road Academy for 1:1 instruction. What a day! I highly recommend taking a course... learned a ton, and now have a GREAT connection in the off-roading community.
a LC or LC250 should not have had issues with the teeter totter. the LC250 comes basic with all the bells and whistles that the lower trims of the 4R do not have. it has ft4wd, crawl control, mts, locking center and rear diff as standard.
