No I still haven’t been able to. I got a hood insulation mat and added insulation underneath it and I’m still getting that noise as if i hadn’t done anything at all. It’s really frustrating
Well thanks for saving me some money on hood insulation. I was going to try that next.

Based on some other posts here about it, the cricket noise when accelerating is the high pressure fuel pump and is normal. It’s on the passenger side with the gas tank if that helps you narrow down the location to confirm.

90% sure this is just turbo noise? It happens when the turbo spools up under certain conditions. Usually I hear it more when I'm accelerating gently, otherwise the engine noise drowns it out.

The turbo noise from the Trailhunter snorkel is one of its fun quirks, sounds the same as what I think you are describing, and comes from the exact same spot.

20k+ miles on my ORP, seems perfectly normal, I actually have fun trying to make the sound happen.

Try setting one of your meters on the dash to the turbo gauge, keep an eye on it when you hear the noise, it definitely syncs up with the turbo pressure from my observations.

It is 100 percent not turbo noise. It happens when the turbo is not spooling. Low rmps, light throttle. Sounds similar to an electrical grounding issue through the speakers except it gets worse when windows are open and is not coming from speakers. I think maybe some people can't hear/dont notice these frequencies.
