Climate Control Issues

Hi everyone, I have a climate control issue with my platinum 4runner when the AC is off. When the temp reads 72 is feels cool, but I turn the dial up to 74-75 degrees is instantly shoots out very hot air that I know is hotter than 75 degrees. Then, I when I dial it back down to the lowest possible temp, it takes several minutes to cool down . Not sure if anyone else had had a similar experience.

That's because it's not trying to blow 75 degree air, it's trying to warm the cabin to 75 from 72.
