Anyone else having an issue with the front center console power outlet on a 4Runner?

Mine keeps blowing the fuse every time I replace it. I’ve used a cell phone charger and a tire inflator, and both pop the fuse on my 4Runner. I tested the cell phone charger in another vehicle, and it works fine.

The fuse lasts anywhere from about 20 minutes to as long as 10 days, and so far, I’ve gone through six fuses. My local Toyota dealership says it’s caused by the devices I’m using, but that doesn’t seem right.

Anyone else having this problem?

Well that's a tricky one, try using another person's cell phone charger adapter and or another cable. Sometimes if a cable has a short in it it will fluctuate voltage and that might cause your fuse to pop especially if it's a fuse that is not rated for that outlet.

Meaning if it's a 5 watt or a 7.5 watt or a 10 w. Check what it's rated for on your fuse box. That's where I would go first.
