My two cents:
I don't like the Sharp edges on that hole.
I would never use a soft shackle on that.

You will have to have hard D shackle mounted and most likely use a bridal technique to pull evenly on the front of that Bush bar.
Just my two cents
Yeah I see what your saying, I don’t plan on taking this truck through the most difficult terrain though and the extra insurance of the bar in the city I live and work in where no one knows how to drive works for me.

Their website says the brush guard can be installed with the OEM or aftermarket tow hooks. Anyone have experience with this?

This brush guard from CAtuned is the best looking one I've found without needing a full bumper replacement, and I think I'd get to keep my red TRD tow hooks.

I'm pretty sure you cannot use the OEM tow hooks with the guard. The bar takes up the real estate where the OEM hook would sit flush.

Fair point... I'm wondering if you mount the tow hooks closest to the frame and then the brush guard? I don't remember if the completely flat side of the tow hooks faces the frame or the ground... That would be a go/no-go point (will have to look in a few minutes).

My concern would then be the length of the bolts being long enough to fully secure everything. However, I do remember when installing the red TRD tow hooks, the bolts are pretty long.

I like this and will consider buying one. Due to the color I assume the owner of this vehicle is a woman.
