I still think it's a good idea to have it installed. It's more as a further deterrent to someone even trying. True that the cat's location would realistically make it very difficult (nearly impossible) for any would-be thief anyways. But having most of the exhaust pipe system exposed underneath and the cat still partially visible might still make it tempting for an ambitious would-be thief to try and end up doing some damage to the pipe from trying, even if they are unsuccessful. Worse case, the cat shield takes the abuse (as it's intended and designed to do) and not the exhaust system.I bought the Miller Cat Cover and returned it. Not needed now that Toyota changed the Cat location. Very hard to get to!
