Sorry to hear. I have no idea on Reno's body shop quality, but If you can find a reputable one, there shouldn't be any issue. My buddy owns a certified body shop from all of the OEMs and his color match is always exact. But they know how to prep. I get scale is different here in LA vs Reno, but if done properly, they look like they came from the manufacturer. Keep searching, but in the meantime, keep em black. Nothing wrong with black. Personally, the black gives it a bit of contrast so the whole truck isn't monotone.
Before I got my TRD ORP I was wanting the paint match and was looking at Sport and Limited because of that but I picked TRD ORP based on what seemed to be some very valuable Off-road features not available on those trims (which I have used a number of times) - and the black accents have really grown on me - at this point I prefer them.
SR5s do have this feature, but I wasn’t aware that you could touch the bottom as well as the top. I’ve only used the top dimple. Nice!
Get the part number and google it. Lots of Toyota parts web sites that sell for much less than Toyota MSRP. I've used Nucar of North Attleboro, Ourisman of Richmond, and Discount Parts Monster. Nucar has had consistently best prices but I'm dealing with an issue with them right now (lack of refund for part I returned to them that they sent in error (I did not order) so not sure I can recommend but when things work they are cheapest.
Just for kicks, searched the price for the red tow hooks I ordered yesterday. Cheapest dealer shown was Nucar in MA. Nucar is a couple of bucks more expensive than what I paid.
