Want to keep your rock sliders but still need a usable step? I didn’t want to give up the look or clearance, but needed something practical for everyday use. Picked these up and they mount cleanly. turns the sliders into actual steps without ruining the aesthetic. Figured I’d share in case anyone else is in the same boat.

not the cheapest option but if you’re anything like me you probably don’t mind paying for quality.

I did the same thing and love them plus my kids and wife appreciate it! Another alternative was the etsy ones that clip on. This solution didn't impact clearance. ZR Overland was great to deal with. I had an issue with 1 of the bolts(my fault) and they were quick to resolve my problem!

I've been using those for a couple months now and they've been great.

Thank you all for chiming in on these. I think I'll pick these up too.

Quick update: one of the steps rotated on me when I first installed it. That was on me, I had only hand-tightened the bolts. I went back, torqued everything to spec (40–45 in-lbs with blue Loctite), and it’s been rock solid since.
Takeaway: don’t skip the torque since they rely on proper clamping force.

One suggestion, it’d be nice if there were some kind of secondary safety or anti-rotation feature. maybe a small bracket indexing off the lower rail just as a backup in case clamping force is ever compromised.

True. I installed all 4 of them where the frame supports are so they couldn't rotate in a way they would come in contact with the rocker if they rotated. It also worked as a good way to keep it symetrical.

I'll keep that in mind. Thank you!
