ASFIR Skid Plate question - oil filter access

To anyone running the @Asfir 4x4 skid plate how easy is it to access the oil filter through the round access hole in the skid plate? I normally just pop the whole skid plate right off but seeing as some of these have excess holes for the filter it would be awesome to be able to swap out a filter without ripping the whole thing down but I'm not sure how easy it would be and how much of a mess it's going to make regardless of an access hole or not.
