Hi everyone. My first 4Runner after trading in my 2024 Tundra. Love the truck. Just got around installing my ARB twin compressor from the Tundra.

I decided to go with the DV8 bracket for the cargo area. It’s a tight squeeze but the little storage cubby thingy still opens up nicely. Just had to trim away the excess from the mat. The hardest part was probably extending the switch wires to the front.

Since the new Toyotas seem to have moved the fuse box to the passenger side, for the illumination wire and the ignition wire I tapped into the prewired aux harness. The pink one is for illumination and the one right next to it (forgot the color) is 12v ignition. Anyone that may wanna do something similar.

This is perfect!
Question do d you really need to remove the rear cargo platform?
I believe we are pre wired for the factory compressor under the right rear storage area!?
Yes it is prewired from what I understand but I feel like it would’ve been much harder to get power from the harness inside the quarter panel. Also didn’t really wanna mess with that too much. The platform was actually pretty easy to come off. Mostly just clips. Unless there is a specific harness that will work for the oem one that I’m not aware of.

The main issue would still be the switch all the way to the front of the vehicle which is where I really wanted it to be. Getting direct power from the battery was pretty easy. Also, I didn’t drill any holes in the quarter panel, decided to use some double sided tape to hold the bracket against it. Per instructions you’re suppose to drill and attach the bracket against it. It’s pretty solid like this, if it gives issues I’ll end up drilling into it.

Alright, I will look at placing the switch right by the compressor as that’s where I would be using it anyway.

I will update this using the factory power located behind that panel then.
