Bought the Apex Hood Stamp for my 26' ORP from StickerFab. Its a TacoVinyl product. I followed the instructions to the letter from their Youtube video where you lay the 1st half down and then work on the second half. The first half went on like butter. Looked really good. When I went to work on the second half, I peeled it from the backing paper and there was so much paper residue that remained on the vinyl, it made the whole piece unusable. I had to remove it and throw it away. I was $113.00

Its amazing to me that you pay over a 100.00 for a piece of vinyl and it doesn't perform. Having said that, I immediately reached out to customer service at StickerFab. Chris Rodriguez answered the following day. He stated that he would reach out to TV to see what could be done. I included pics of what happened so he could forward to them as well.

Chris was in constant contact with me however, via the last email, he said that TV stopped responding to him so he said he would take the hit and refund me the amount that I paid for the hood stamp. This isn't right as TV should be the ones to refund me or replace the product but being a true small business owner and a man of his word, Chris agreed to refund me the entire amount. I wont ever order any products made or distributed by TV ever again. TV doesn't care about the quality of the products that they sell or the customers who buy it.

The fact that Chris had to take the hit really is infuriating. Stickerfab is a veteran owned small business that's run by 4 people. I want to thank Chris for his service and his honesty! Make sure to support his business if you ever need anything for your beloved 4runner. I certainly will.

well i have heard stuff from other taco and tundra and older 4R forums about 1-2 years ago that taco v had turned into a crap show for products and customer service. i think one forum had them banned as a sponsor from all the bad member posts and they are not even allowed to speak the name.

kinda shocked they are still in business after seeing the post about them after all this time.

and i have had great results from stickerfab for the little amount i have bought from them via learning about them from this forum.

Stickerfab has gone downhill, imho...they used to have great customer service and faster shipping, now it's AI for help (which doesn't help) and the shipping takes forever. Chris, the owner, used to respond to my inquiries and now I don't even get a response.

First, Tim, thank you for the kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. I appreciate the support, and I'm glad we were able to get you taken care of. While we don't manufacture every product we sell, I still believe we have a responsibility to help our customers when something goes wrong.

I also wanted to address the comments about StickerFab's customer service and shipping times because I think they're fair concerns, and I don't want anyone thinking we're intentionally ignoring them.

StickerFab is a small business, and I'm personally involved in just about every aspect of it. I'm the customer service department, but I also design products, manufacture quite a few of them, help fulfill orders, manage vendors, maintain the website, and handle the countless other things that go into keeping a business running.

We're competing with some very large companies in the automotive aftermarket industry, many of which have dedicated departments for all those responsibilities. We simply don't have those same resources. We're constantly trying to balance competitive pricing, new product development, production, fulfillment, and customer service while keeping the doors open and continuing to serve the enthusiast community.

That's not an excuse for missed messages or slower shipping. I understand that customers deserve timely responses and reasonable expectations regardless of the size of the company they're purchasing from.

We've introduced AI chat assistance to help answer common questions and provide information when someone isn't immediately available. It's meant to supplement our customer service, not replace human interaction. Ultimately, I'm still the person handling the issues that require personal attention.

The reality is that sometimes I get behind. Not because I don't care, and certainly not because I'm intentionally ignoring anyone, but because there are only so many hours in the day. Some days I'm answering emails while also trying to finish products and get orders out the door.

I know there are areas where we can improve, and we're continually working on them. If you've reached out and haven't received a response, I genuinely apologize. That's not the experience I want anyone to have.

I started StickerFab because I'm an enthusiast myself. I enjoy designing products, finding solutions to things that bother me about my own vehicles, and sharing those ideas with others. We've grown considerably (you have to in order to afford the equipment, rent, utilities, etc), but we're still a small business trying to do right by our customers.

We're not perfect, and I won't pretend otherwise. But I can promise that we care about the products we sell, the people buying them, and the community that has allowed us to keep doing this.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. It genuinely means a lot.

Chris

Yes, I know but I like supporting veteran owned small businesses as most of my family have been in the armed forces in some capacity.
