Have you noticed a power loss or reduction in MPGs with these?
I only had the stock tires on for about 300 miles. They’re tall and skinny so it helps with the mileage, I maybe lost 1-2mpgs, but it’s not noticeable at all. I generally get 20mpg around town and about 5mpg higher on the highway (as long as I’m not going over 70). Power feels exactly the same.

Hey Jason, can you tell me about your experience ordering your truck and any tips? You mentioned it being delayed a month and a half due to the QC Hold - what happened there?

matrixkiwi - I ended up cancelling the 4R I had a deposit on after it arrived. I did not like Ice Cap color on a SR5, after seeing it in person. Another dealer I had been working with received a Heritage Blue SR5 a few days later. I went over there, looked at, bought it right away after they gave me a discount below MSRP, no one does that in my area. I had it a week and very happy. This one was also QC held with a 5/25 build date. The MSRP was pre-$500 price increase so I was pleased.

Thanks for everyone's input. I think I'm going with the Bridgestone Dueler Ascents in the stock 245/70 size. Most of my driving is on road. So far, the handling and fuel economy has passed my expectation. I rather not mess with the skinny tires, although their low height makes them look funny in those giant wheel wells. Costco extended the sale for Bridgestone until the end of August so I have time. I want to do it before 1,000 miles so I can get the most money for the factory Yoks.

I'm also looking for a full size spare. I missed an eBay opportunity last week. Someone was selling individual SR5 wheels and tires for $299 shipped each. They were take-offs from a new 4Runner. I'll keep an eye out for that. My second option is to buy a 24/25 Taco full size steelie spare with a regular tire. This is a factory option and not common so harder to find but cheaper. I've seen them go for $100-150. They come with a Toyo Open Country tire. I would like confirmation that would fit on my 4Runner and I can use the lug nuts as well. Most people I've talked said the 17" wheels on the Taco (4th gen) and 4R (6th gen) are the same. If anyone knows more about this please chime in.

My SR5 (to a dealer in CT) a few weeks ago came with Yokohama Geolander X-CV G057 245/70R17

The tread looks like pure road. Possibly ok in wet but not snow or anything else.

I'm in NJ and would like something with a little more room to grab snow and mud, with stock wheels & suspension. I like continental extreme contact dws on my saturn sky, but idk if conti are equally good for suv.

...thinking terraincontact 285/70r17
Not sure if 285 is too wide for the stock wheels.

I'm getting the KO3s installed, it was either those or the AT4s.

I got some SR5 wheels for sale and will be looking up shipping rates for another member pretty soon. Pm me if you're still looking and include your zip code and I will reply once i get all the info. Also, I went with 265/70/17 BFG A/T tires and IMO they are improvement in comfort and looks and it's a very noticeable improvement. The 245/70 that came stock with my SR5 fits nicely in the spare tire well. MPG dipped 1 mpg driving mostly highway miles.
