This was informative and helpful. I've been doing some research on AT tires trying to find the best fit for my needs. Not really needs, but wants. I'm a 'pavement princess'.

My upcoming Platinum will never see true off-roading. So, I know that the stock highway tires are really the best option. But I know some of you here feel me on this one. I want a more aggressive look than the stock highway tires. I want to look like I could go off-roading anywhere, anytime although I won't. I want to look like I can drive over any curb in the neighborhood with no issues.

BUT, I want a set of AT tires that are really closer to highway tires, but just look more aggressive. This will be our daily driver and I don't want my wife complaining too much about noise on the highway. I do understand that there is a compromise that goes with getting AT tires as opposed to highway tires and am willing to compromise some.

So....what I'm looking for is a set of AT tires that look kinda rugged, but are closer to highway tires than mud tires. After watching this video, the tire that would best fit my needs/wants is the Cooper Discoverer Road + Trail AT. Again, I'm not saying this is the best AT tire, but based on the video it looks like it is the closest fit. I'm a little surprised because in my lurking on forums about tires I don't hear much chatter about Cooper AT tires.

So the reason for my post is....anyone out there have these Cooper AT tires and what do you think of them. AND, I'm open to everyone's opinion on.....what is the best AT tire that is really closest to a highway tire, but looks a bit more rugged than a highway tire?

Thanks in advance for any of your opinions/thoughts.
