***Updated to correct battery size.

I was looking for an alternative to the 12Volt Lead Acid battery group 48 H6/LN3 when I came across this Alberta Strong Company.

I had a great conversation with them that lead me to choose this company for my new battery to power our 4Runner.

The technology this company has put into these batteries is a game changer in my opinion.
Bluetooth that keeps you informed of your battery life and realtime values.

Not the same product my friends, nor is this a Canadian company
My friends and I build power stations for overlanding as well.

https://ca.litime.com/products/12v-100ah-group-24-lithium-self-heating-battery

Here is the same product half the price
Be aware Li Time is not a replacement battery like the Alberta Lithium Battery.
Completely different application here.
LiTime Specs:
12.8V
100Ah

Not The same product my friends, Alberta Lithium Battery is a drop in Starter Battery unlike LiTime and Not Canadian. LiTime Website says DO NOT USE AS STARTER BATTERY

It's definitely good to have options and be able to make choices that are right for you.

The reasons I choose Alberta Lithium Battery Company is based on a few factors.
1. The telephone conversation I had with Paola. It was rather refreshing and very technical
2. Alberta based Canadian Company
3. Options and Technology

This Battery is a full replacement to drop in place of your 12Volt Lead Acid OEM battery.
Alberta Lithium Battery offers a drop in Lithium option that is 100% compatible and offers increased Ah and higher CCA (see below)

*****Updated Specs 4R Hybrid battery
13.2V
60Ah
850CCA
Starter/Deep Cycle Marine IP67 Mercury Spec LiFePO4 + Na-ion Bluetooth Heated Battery

After our conversation with the team at Alberta Lithium and the FJ Cruiser they operate with a
lithium starter battery for the past few years no issue's with regards to the Alberta Winters!

Im so excited to get this battery installed and reap the many benefits including weight reduction!

Stay tuned installation scheduled for this coming week.

Thank you Alberta Lithium Battery Company for the advanced technology.

That is really cool. I didnt know' people swap a SLA for Lithium in cold weather. Usually, automotive industry relies on lead acid because it can charge in cold temps, which lithium has trouble with. I was under the impression you were looking to build a power source for your overland setup, if this is for your starter I am impressed.

In the past, self heated batteries take an hour or two before they start charging. Have fun and share pics of this battery in your bay!

So which size are you going to go with? If I plan on building power station in the back already, will I still benefit from upgrading the starter battery?

and will it work with the alternator?

I thought lithium battery needs a different charger? If it's a drop-in replacement, how is it charged?

Never mind. Saw that it comes with an onboard BMS for charging.

Yes we will benefit.....
The starter battery will be the 60Ah / 850CCA this will replace the starter battery and free up weight! Then increase power and reserves.

Then we will ........

work on further options with Alberta Lithium Battery Company when we decide what direction to go with for a power source. They have so much experience and are great to worth with.

Ionic has had a battery with bluetooth and app technology for quite a while. Have been running them in my boat for over 6 years.

They state that the battery is also "+sodium-ion". But aside from stating in the description that it includes a sodium ion battery to absorb voltage spikes they never explain how it is integrated. Even the specs printed on the side of the battery (which is made in China...so not as Canadian as we would hope) don't mention the NA-ion integration. Some clarification from them on that would be great.
