Can someone briefly explain how the active shutters work? It would be real cool (pun) if they closed whilst the engine is desperately trying to warm up at -46° this morning. Can they be programmed?

Unfortunately. Some of us have to live on top of the Earth where the sun doesn’t do much this time of year

Honestly, that’s a really good question. I was always under the impression that they only activated over a certain speed when the airflow going through the unrestricted part was plenty for cooling the motor while in motion. Never thought about closing it off to help. Try to warm things up.

I know it’s cold, but, have you bothered to get out and look after start up? I would guess that they would be closed during cold startups

They were open. Wasn’t even sure if they are functional on the SR5. They do rattle a bit
