Had them installed Friday 5-15-26 on a 25’ TRD ORP Hybrid. No regrets, look great and much easier to get in and out without stretching.
The OEM steps were high for the wife and I. We stepped on the OEM steps and looked at the roof, so just stretched to get in. Now it's an easy step to get in and out.
Not going back, not worried about winter weather and snow. Have had power steps on previous vehicles and show was never an issue.

Video loaded no problem, pics seem to be stuck uploading. Anyone able to help with this?

I have the amp power running boards on my F250 and I had the Rough Country power running boards on my Jeep Rubicon for the 5 years I owned it. Both sets of running boards drop lower than a standard static mounted running board which makes entry and exit a breeze.

I plan to install these on my 6th gen 4runner asap.

Build quality is as good if not better than the gold standard Amp power running boards.

Install on the wrangler was super easy. It even came with a switch that you could disable them for offroad use (hope for the 4runner kit does too).

In summary. I had no issues with them for the 5 years I had them and I live in Ohio where we get a lot of salty grimy road conditions.

You will be happy.

Had the rough country power running boards installed today. Works great. Installer said installation was not easy. Other applications would access the OBDII port for activation… unfortunately for our application it uses four door mounted magnet sensors to deploy and retract the boards. The last thing of note, the gap between the boards and the body is greater for the rear when compared with the front. Can probably fix this with shims at some point in the future but for now this will do. Also elected to mount some rock lights in place of the lights that come with the boards. They fit perfectly within the OEM brackets and are way brighter than the lights RC provides.

I liked mine from the start. Haven't noticed the gap issue on mine. Have to take a closer look. Look good on your ride. What lights did you use?

Yeah I think the gap is minor but noticeable. Probably 1 cm difference. The lights are from Amazon. Aluminum housing. Water proof. Bright as hell. And reasonably priced. I got the 12 pack but installed 6. Can always daisy chain more but for now this will do. Link below.

Appreciate the link, did you do the light install? How are you liking the steps overall?
