this is the same trip i did in may-2026 to go see my mom. see the original detailed write up and stats in this thread/post
https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/thr...-my-2025-platinum-experience-mpg-stats.10686/
left saturday 9-5-2026 and got back 9-13-2026 and filled up this morning before heading to work.
only difference this trip is the wife came along. brought a 48g coolor to bring some korean food back and loaded the rear up with more stuff my mom offloaded to me to bring back to ND.
anyway here are the stats from the 2nd trip.
the 17-18 mpg runs are in ND and SD. the wind kills the mpg here. the big drops are from head winds doing about 35 mph and also doesnt help i was doing 80 mph (standard cruise control setting of 81 mph set, 80 mph on MID screen and actual was 78 mph via garmin and google reported speed)
the 24 mpg ones is where i had a good tail wind. at one point i even hit 27.4 mpg with a very good tail wind but then the wind shifted and droped me back down.
