Off Road Premium iForce Max. Toyota cross bars with Thule Pulse 614 Medium 14 Cu Ft cargo box (only opens on passenger side). Left front grill goatee stock air flow dealy on for mileage. Total payload weight (inside and on cargo box) 715 pounds. Two 85 lb dogs in the cargo area. Drove in ECO mode the entire time.

Road trip only. Combo of two lane mountain and rural roads, interstates with 80 MPH limits, four lane divided and undivided.

4Runner did great. Lots of power for passing, even passing at 75 - 85 MPH on uphill grades. Adaptive cruise control was great, especially following cars on curved mountain roads since it automatically keeps distance, automatically stays behind a car going at various slower speeds while following curves marked at 25, 30, 40, etc. Same for following cars in the express lanes on major interstates. Took me a long time to get used to the automatic lane following on curved roads, letting it do its things but correcting as needed. It also slows automatically while negotiating curves. I feel like I have to supervise it, but it does make driving less stressful and tiring.

Got a low tire pressure indicator one 34 degree morning starting out (5630 ft elevation). 3 Tires showed 29 psi and one showed 28 psi. Went away once on the road they warmed up. They're currently showing all at 32 psi.

Results: 2523.8 miles, 46:35 hours driving time. 21.6 MPG.

You got 21.5 mpg with that roof box?! I did a very long 6k mile trip and averaged 17.5 myself. Granted I had a roof box, traction boards, and a shovel up there, but even when they're off I've never seen anything higher than 18mpg with my hybrid.

might want to keep an eye on how much the radar cruise control applies the brakes.

if you have the two red bars on the MID screen show up, take note how much they are applied during radar cruise control mode.

have seen reports that the radar cruise control can eat thru brake pads as quick as 20k miles (rear mostly) on the tundra forums.

Ive got a 6 hour round trip drive coming up, ill keep an eye on it. I was under the impression the hybrids use regenerative braking before actually applying the physical brakes.

Good advice and I did, in fact, pay attention on this trip. Only times braking was indicated was when car I was following brakes and slowed suddenly. The rest of the time, it maintained distance using the drivetrain. I didn't see any significant use of the brakes.

that would be the case but the BoF vehicles dont have the same electric motors as a normal hybrid. so they dont regen like like that.

here is the videos for the BoF hybrid setup vs the normal toyota hybrid setup.

the biggest difference is the regular hybrids have 2 MG's (motor generators) vs the toyota BoF with only 1 MG

Must have been the 100% on ECO and the front air foil still on.;)

I'm getting under 16mpg on hway/ECO with a hybrid TH. Tires are 285/70/18 but no box on top (yet). I'm afraid to put the box on......

Don't know what to tell you. I used Adaptive Cruise Control almost all the time. I confirmed the 21.6 MPG with total gallons at the pump.
