Off Road Premium iForce Max. Toyota cross bars with Thule Pulse 614 Medium 14 Cu Ft cargo box (only opens on passenger side). Left front grill goatee stock air flow dealy on for mileage. Total payload weight (inside and on cargo box) 715 pounds. Two 85 lb dogs in the cargo area. Drove in ECO mode the entire time.
Road trip only. Combo of two lane mountain and rural roads, interstates with 80 MPH limits, four lane divided and undivided.
4Runner did great. Lots of power for passing, even passing at 75 - 85 MPH on uphill grades. Adaptive cruise control was great, especially following cars on curved mountain roads since it automatically keeps distance, automatically stays behind a car going at various slower speeds while following curves marked at 25, 30, 40, etc. Same for following cars in the express lanes on major interstates. Took me a long time to get used to the automatic lane following on curved roads, letting it do its things but correcting as needed. It also slows automatically while negotiating curves. I feel like I have to supervise it, but it does make driving less stressful and tiring.
Got a low tire pressure indicator one 34 degree morning starting out (5630 ft elevation). 3 Tires showed 29 psi and one showed 28 psi. Went away once on the road they warmed up. They're currently showing all at 32 psi.
Results: 2523.8 miles, 46:35 hours driving time. 21.6 MPG.
