Has anyone done this swap? I have the armrests in the first picture. I’m looking to potentially swap those out for the cubby version in the second picture

Interesting. Does the third row come with an armrest and others with cupholders?

I asked a dealer about this, they said they all come like your second photo and that the cupholders were for the third row. 🤷‍♂️

I'd prefer neither, only flat panels that provide more storage.

The third row comes with the flat arm rest looking panel. The non-3rd row ones come with those cubby’s. I’m assuming to make manufacturing easier on Toyota, they just change out that top panel.

It appears to me that it’s Not just the top panel, covering the cubby, though I’d understand why. I thought the same until I noticed the tie-down point near the bottom of the side panel that is visible in to upper photo and not in the bottom one.
I have a 3row Limited on order that will have the armrests. In Canada the Limited is only available as 3 row but I would have preferred 2 only and get the cubbies similar to what my 5G SR5 has, plus I will likely never use the third row and it will be permanently folded down.

What a strange restriction! I was happy to find a 5-seater limited gas

Oh yea look at that. I didn’t notice that either. That whole piece is different. Good eye

The dealer told me the restriction of Limited row numbers was due to the Canadian market size being smaller, i.e. not large enough to support both versions. Sounds like crap to me. Makes no sense when they (Toyota) can’t make enough, fast enough to put any on dealer lots anyway.

Having removed the entire interior, I’m gonna say you will need to replace the entire side panels.
