285/70/17 tire questions

Anyone know or have reference if 285/70/17 will fit the TRD ORP without any lifts/level kits? Also what rim size ? Offset etc, and what are good rims. Thanks!

I’m running that tire size. Plenty of room. No rubbing (not even close)
Rubbing will be non existent. I’m running trd off road wheels from a 4th gen Tacoma powder coated all black.

No alignment needed just swapping tires with 3k miles.
I am going to take it in to get the stock alignment printout. I’m not getting an alignment I just want the numbers. That way I have something to argue about after I lift because my dealer fucks with toe front and rear too much and I hate taking it back in (and this is the Toyota dealer. I’m not going anywhere else since it’s literally down the street.

285/70R17 on 17x8 +35 black rhino wheels, no issues whatsoever.

That’s bc you have a +35 offset. Go below 20 and you’re rubbing.

I’m looking at a 17x8.5 rim with +25 offset. Pretty sure that’ll be ok ?

Yes it doesn’t matter what trim level that will work on everyone of them including the SR5 with no rubbing .
