Buying an ORP and equipping it with the same things that come with the TH will ultimately cost more than the TH.

Was too curious, so I had to crawl under the Outback and measure.

From ground to rear diff is right about 10.5". The Y pipe from the exhaust hangs a touch lower at about 10". They have this thing pretty snugged up. There is a skid plate covering the transmission and oil pan, but I don't think it hangs any lower than the exhaust.

Not sure why the Toyota web site is incorrectly listing all the 2026 trims at the same ground clearance. They clearly are different based on the different suspension components and geometry. (Even though I do not understand the details and want to (Practical difference between 6G4R suspensions??), the differences are clearly there.

But to answer one of the questions above - at least for the TRD OR:
The differential in an unmodified TRD OR has 9.6" of clearance (indicating that something other than the rear diff is the low point for 9.1" spec. ) And here is the proof (tape measure is 3").

And just for reference, the same TRD OR with 285/70R18 wheels (33.7" dia. vs. stock 32.6") and a 1.25" peak leveling kit on the front, has a differential clearance of 11":
