Finally getting around to sharing my 2025 4Runner Limited build. The goal is to keep it comfortable and practical enough for daily driving, while still being capable and ready for weekend off-road trips and adventures.

Future Plans

Still lots of ideas floating around, including:

• Full suspension upgrade
• Rock sliders
• More underbody protection
• Rear lighting
• Recovery gears
• Interior storage/camping setup
• More trail-ready upgrades as I figure out what I actually need

I’m definitely not building a hardcore rock crawler. The goal is a comfortable daily driver during the week and a capable weekend warrior when it’s time to hit the trails.

Of course, there’s only one problem with having a build list this long… I need to save a LOT more money. Every time I finish one upgrade, somehow I find five more things I “need.”

Fun story behind the TRD Pro hood: I was actually able to upgrade to it because I had a front-end collision. Since the hood needed to be replaced anyway, I figured it was the perfect opportunity to go with the TRD Pro hood instead. Might as well turn an unfortunate situation into a little upgrade!

Still lots of work ahead, but I’m really enjoying the process and seeing the Limited slowly turn into my own version of the perfect daily/weekend 4Runner.

Looking forward to seeing everyone else’s builds and getting more ideas…

Do you have any rub with this setup? Also are you running the 17 x8.5 6x5.5 0/4.8” methods?

I removed front mudflaps and crash bracket delete. Yes, that’s it! 🛞

Very nice job on your build! I never thought I would like a fully chrome type wheel but the Method wheel on your truck looks great. I currently have 20" wheels and would most likely opt for their 20x9 wheel but not sure what tire would fit without having to lift my truck or remove plastic. I suppose I should just call Method and ask for their input! I love my 4Runner, its a super well engineered platform that I know will last many years. My only wish is that the Tundra V6 turbo could have been offered as an optional engine.

I wanted to ask what running boards you have on your truck - I didn't see them on your list of upgrades. I like the stable flat board from front to back.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it! The machined Method wheels definitely grew on me too. I wasn’t sure about the look at first, but they ended up fitting the 4Runner perfectly.

For the running boards, they’re actually the stock ones that came with the Limited. I still have them on for now, but I’m planning to upgrade to some rock sliders soon, cali or wd.
