um wait 🤔
how are you fitting a 95 hub wheel on a 106 hub center?
typically you can fit a larger hub to a smaller hub with a hub centric ring, but not vice versa
i think technically toyota measures the widest part of the main body excluding the mirrors per the federal rules
hence why the ford raptors requires the lights since they are way past 80 inches, it just doesnt specify location of the centered 3 lights, so ford put them in the front grille
from what i can tell on a reset, the tpms computer (ecu) will relearn where each sensor is located at and assign the sensor id to that location for future reference for a faster reading. it wont relearn a location once set (ecu)
hence the reset sequence needs to be done per the manual and then...
so in other words, they removed 1 sensor from a tire and put it into the spare tire that was rotated in.
on the higher trims of the 4runner all 5 tires have sensors. the lower trims only show 4 sensors
as you can see from the dash on my platinum
the question i have is, when did you put a 5th sensor in the spare tire? i thought only the higher trims came with a 5th sensor?
or did they take the tire sensor from the tire taken out and put into the spare position?
The process typically involves locating a specific fill plug on the side or bottom of the transmission, removing it, and checking the fluid level or adding fluid until it begins to overflow.
forgot to add, you have to bring the transmission temp to a specific temp (from cold) to check it correctly.
i mean technically they should be a plug and play install, since they all use the same specs across toyota and lexus.
139.7x6
95.1
14x1.5
the only issue is the extra 2 inches in wheel height.
since toyota 4runner doesnt have a 22in tire, we dont know the oem size that would be equivalent to...
if you are using 5th gen oem wheels, you will need a hub centric ring plus longer lug nuts (if you carry over the 5th gen lug nuts)
6th gen lug nuts are 14x1.5 vs 5th gen 12x1.5
also the hub is bigger on 5th gen 106 vs 6th gen 95
just remember the mpg display is lifetime avg NOT per tank avg like it was in the 5th gen.
you have to manually reset it after each fill up (which is a pita now)
but meh really, its not even close to actual mpg doing hand calcs from what i have seen.
last tank showed 19 mpg (i think) but hand...
the remote start distance has never been far for any toyota fob. they are not really built for that function unlike 3rd party remotes. the fob is mostly for unlock/lock and PTS function.
i mean my 2014 the distance was barely to the driveway. luckily i had a drone mobile remote start and used...
i havent remote started yet, it not really that cold yet to justify it, its only getting into 30-40F right now over night and 40-50s during the day at work.
it sits in the garage during the night so i dont remote start in the garage. only time i can remote start is at work consistently and its...
