  1. Over-inflated spare tire?

Mine is an SR5, Stock OEM spare. Valve accessible through hole in wheel.
  2. Can you change the Start Up screen on the Infotainment system?

I guess it's not changeable based on the lack of responses. It could be the trims higher that the SR5 has the trial of Drive Connect so people are not seeing this screen until their subscription ends.
  3. What do these two items do/mean (rear dash light and cargo lock button)?

Great explanation and not just a random guess like so many responses seem to be on this and other forums.
  4. Does the differential really take 5.9 qts?

That sounds like a lot but when I looked it up, I found this - https://www.toyota.com/owners/warranty-owners-manuals/digital/article/4runner-hv/2025/om35b86u/ch08se010401/ It even stated 6.9 quarts for the Trailhunter.
  5. Over-inflated spare tire?

I was able to see and get to the valve stem to check pressure. Did not have to drop spare. Its reckless by Toyota/dealer to let a vehicle go out with that knid of over inflation.
  6. Hybrid system failed - "System Malfunction Visit Your Dealer"

Seems like Toyota are losing the reliability label.
  7. This motor sounds bad. Is it an issue?

Can you provide data that state' that in a factual form? Toyota state 87 oct
  8. Self Car Washing essentials for 6th gen?

Great advice. I do about the same but the dealer applied Ceramic treatment has thrown me in a loop. Supposedly, you should not wax over it. You need to polish it off to go back to wax, etc. I purchased all new “ceramic” stuff for the shampoo, glass, plastic. I wish I had refused the ceramic...
  9. Picked up my Trailhunter 4Runner - First Impressions & Early Mods

On the wipers, my glass from new was contaminated. Run your thumb nail across and feel if its smooth. I used an optical polish to remove the crap on the glass and now have a Crystal clear, low noise wipe.
  10. Trailhunter skids on an SR5- check your hardware!

Great info. Considering adding some under belly protection depending on costs.
  11. Rear windshield wiper

Same here, slow and minimal coverage.
  12. Hybrid system failed - "System Malfunction Visit Your Dealer"

This will be a good thread to watch for hybrid owners and future owners. Fingers crossed its a simple, fast and reliable fix. I really wanted the hybrid when I started looking at Toyota for the first time. Sequoya, Grand Highlander then I settled on a non-hybrid 4Runner. I guess it’s less...
  13. Air Dam falling off at highway speeds, 89 miles on odometer

Good luck. I know going to the dealer is a pain.
  14. Air Dam falling off at highway speeds, 89 miles on odometer

Tight meaning what torque? Its relevant. Bolt or screw? I think its a screw into a plastic base. Were screws over tightened and stripped the plastic base? If so, they will continue to fall out. This also leads to the fix options. Thread locker may not work. A good glue might. Toyota need...
  15. This motor sounds bad. Is it an issue?

What has 93 octane got to do with this noise?
  16. Can you change the Start Up screen on the Infotainment system?

The SR5 does not have the GPS or "Drive Connect" subscription free for the first year. I sometimes will plug in my iPhone and use Car Play which is awesome but sometimes I don't and have to look at the default Drive Connect Getting Started screen. There has to be a way to change that screen to...
  17. Sunshade for 4runner 6th gen?

Was this an official Toyota product? Dod the have a folding one?
  18. Jump starting from a Hybrid

I started using a dedicated device for jump starting. The NOCO. Self contained, can be moved from vehicle to vehicle. I got the larger one to cover all my vehicles. Now, not more jump cables needed.
  19. Rear Door Window Seal - Looks like its incorrectly fitted both sides

I did roll the windows down and made a small effort to roll out some of the edge but I was not successful. I may try again this weekend.
  20. Rear Door Window Seal - Looks like its incorrectly fitted both sides

So we can assume normal? Looks like crap now that I have noticed it :) I need to stop washing the car as I keep noticing new stuff....
