I'm suing Toyota => TRD Off-Road i-FORCE MAX missing hands-free power liftgate

so based on the screenshot he provided, (and I checked myself on the Toyota Website), it does show that the TRD Off-Road i-FORCE MAX offers the hands-free power lift gate with power rear window. However, when you look at the comparison list, it shows that it is NOT available. It is a bit misleading...

No. It says power rear liftgate window. It does not say power lift gate with power rear window.

The * is gonna get you. On the bottom it is referring to the liftgate which then shows only on premium

I thought the * was the catch but it is not when you open it.

Either way... if that feature was so important for OP, I'm kinda confused why he didn't test or check it out before signing papers.

I didn't look back, did the guy that started this thread, have a Premium? I started out to buy a plain jane SR5-PT4WD. When I discovered that the 4R's now, have the mechanical seat. My 22 SR5 has a power drivers seat. So, I moved up to the Premium, and the bonus is the passenger seat is power also.

Trying to sue Toyota would be a waste of time and money. You're better off trading it in for what you want. Unless that window sticker says it's included and it is not installed, your case won't even get to a judge. In the fine print of website and brochures clerical errors are covered by a disclaimer.

You are right Dusty, always read everything. If I was him, I would pony up another 5 to 6K, get what he wants, then he can sleep at night.
The Exterior Equipment sheet on my sticker shows it all.

If you have a non premium trd off road i force max then you most likely are missing the feature too

-regardless, I’m suing them for false advertising, which this is a pretty clear case of. 2/3 of the toyota people i talked to also admitted wrongdoing on a recorded line.

I doubt any lawyer is going to take it though. If they do, it'll be for more money than the upgrade to a power lift gate would cost. Fighting Toyota in court would probably cost more than your 4Runner.

Also, there's likely an arbitration clause in your paperwork that would preclude a lawsuit anyway.
