What you described is a type of fraud, often called deceptive sales practices, but Attorney Generals don't typically want to pursue it. I'm so thankful that there are several good dealerships in my area that, while they push the VSA, it's not intense. Take your business elsewhere - dealers make as much from maintenance and warranty work as the initial sale.I can only surmise that I missed it because I was in need of a new vehicle and stressed about that, and worn down from dealing with the sales person and the people there that were trying to sell me insurance.
At the end of the day I have no way of proving fraud was involved.
