the only thing i dont like is the default factory delay to unlock, 1.5 secs is too long.

it can be changed to .8 secs, but it cant be change via the customer facing options. can only be done via global techstream or carista i think.
@Nodak Sorry, what delay is that? Mine unlocks as soon as I grab the door handle

I read somewhere today that Toyota is offering 25% off parts and accessories online. I bought some things Labor Day, when they were running the same deal. I asked my dealership if they would honor Toyota.com's pricing and they were all over doing so. I recently purchased qty 5 Tundra/Sequoia TRD Pro forged wheels, manufactured by BBS Japan. These wheels appear to be the rage on the LC forum. I'm actually considering getting a set for the Pro. Anyway, I shopped around and found an excellent price online, and my dealer matched the deal. I called several dealers that were more than $350 per wheel more expensive. I'd say they probably don't sell much out the front door.

agreed. mine unlocks instantly. touch to lock takes 1.5 secs
Just walked into the garage with the key fob in my pocket and touched the indented part of the driver's door handle. Doors locked instantly and the mirrors started folding.

Wrapped my hand inside the handle and it unlocked instantly, and the mirrors started folding back out again.

It takes the mirrors a second or so to complete their folding/unfolding, but the locking and unlocking happens right as the mirrors start moving.

yeah mine is delayed on unlocks. not instant like it is on the 23 tundra.

ive tried the .8 unlock delay and off and still a delay. oh well i'll adjust. not a deal breaker in the grand scheme of things. i have more creature comfort benefits with the new 25 vs the 14 so i can live with it.

Hmm... are we talking about the same thing? For me (TRD ORP - no folding mirrors) the driver's door unlocks instantly, but to get the rest of the doors unlocked you must hold the handle for the defined delay (I have mine set on minimum time (1.5 sec) - required a trip to the dealer (or Carista, I guess)).

Per (hybrid) manual, page 642:
"Time elapsed before unlocking all the door when gripping and holding the driver’s door handle"
Default: 2 seconds
Choices: Off, 1.5 seconds, 2.5 seconds.

OTOH: Grabbing the passenger side handle with the key fob nearby unlocks all 4 doors instantly.

AND I just noticed something in the manual I've not tried (and maybe Nodak wants to give it a shot): pp 117-118: "Switching the door unlock function. It is possible to set which doors the entry function unlocks using the wireless remote control. .... Table: Unlocking Function: "Holding driver’s
door handle or front passenger door handle unlocks all the doors."
This MIGHT make the unlick all from driver's door instantaneous like on passenger door?

I bet that’s it! First thing I changed was to make it so that all doors lock and unlock at the same time

there is 3 delays for the door handle.

2.5s
1.5s
.8s
off

ive tried .8 and off and the delay is the same. i have mine set to unlock all doors so the delay will always be there ( i have set the mirror to not fold/deploy but i have set the seat to move in case the wife drives it. the steering wheel just tilts up)

so all those settings may affect the door unlock delay, not sure, not doing a deep dive to find out.

i imagine if i changed it to only drivers door it would unlock instantly. but then it questions the issue why our 23 tundra i have it set to all doors unlock but when grabbing the drivers door its instant instead of the delay i have in the 4R.

at this point, i am out of my 30 day carista sub so i wont be re-visiting this issue. not worth the hassle and cost to re-sub for 30 days to resolve this. i have moved on :)
