RTT recommendations for our new Trailhunter?

Super stoked with the new car! My wife and I are looking to get off the ground and sleep on the roof instead. I’ve been looking at the IKamper mini 3.0. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think it’s the one in this badass video by Drew Simms. If you haven’t seen this video check it out! I like the way it sits on the ARB rack.

I got a Trailhunter in June, put on a Prinsu standard rack and an iKamper skycamp 2 - it is an awesome tent, setup/takedown in 5 mins or less. Recommend!

Yes that’s the iKamper mini 3.0 in Drew’s video! I’ve been a fan of his for a long time and may have been influenced by that video to buy my Trailhunter… but I’m planning to get a Sherpa rack and get the iKamper DLX, just so I have a bit more space on the roof for recovery boards/cargo boxes/etc.

The DLX comes with the better mattress, I had to buy it aftermarket to go with my skycamp 3

On an SUV I generally prefer wedge tents vs clamshell tents. It keeps a lower profile over the roof of the vehicle and wedge tents are a lot faster for setup and teardown. From iKamper that would be their BDV series. iKamper makes great stuff. I also like FSR, we've used their tents quite a bit in the shop.
