4Runner build w/ Yakima Skybox, Openroad awning, Westcott lift, light bar & more

Still building the 25 Runner, just installed a sky box and an open road shade. Still looking for the right tire, 35 or 34
I put a Westcott lift. A 34 size tire maybe my choice since I don’t want to make any other modifications. Also if I go bigger do I need to recalibrate the speedometer? Let me know.

Awesome Build. Looks a ton like mine (ORP, Hybrid, Heritage Blue)... I was wondering, do you pay attention to the overall weight load on the roof? With 180lbs total (per Toyota), + Rack +Box + Ect... are you counting pounds or just load it up and let's go.

Not really. I think is more like you said, pack and go. Do not carry heavy stuff. So far so good. The Prinsu pro rack helps spread the extra load.

Did your ride come with the factory cross bars? I'm curious if you noticed a change in noise having the roof rack diverting air over the rails vs the oem setup.

Well done! Nice and clean. Did you change the tires to a taller narrower profile?

It did. When I installed my Prinsu pro rack the noise was way less than factory. Now with the open road and Yakima and the light bar, there is some noise but is reasonable and does not bother me at all.

Not yet. Those are the factory tires. Still deciding what type of tires or rims to put. Maybe 34s so I don’t have to cut, remove anything. Also I was told if I go 35 the speedometer needs to be recalibrated.
