For most of the summer I hadn't seen a single 6th gen 4Runner on the road. There's lost of 5th and 4th gen ones around here. I actually have seen two 1st gen 4Runners this summer (rare around here as most everything over 20 years old has rusted away to nothing). Last month I've started seeing 6th gens regularly in almost every color.

I'm beating myself up over not buying a Trailhunter that was offered to me last month. I assumed we'd have 2026's by now, or November at the latest. It's looking like that won't happen until the Spring

when looking at the chart...

how is the 2025 yr number at 67k for the 4runner and i just had mine built in 22-aug-2025 with a serial number of 18021 ?

that makes no sense, and i have seen some later sequence numbers in the 21-22k but no where near 67k and the 6th gen started production in nov-dec of 2024 for sale in 2025 calendar year.

and to add, toyota doesnt reset the sequence number each calendar/model year

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to imply that it was a special offer in any way, just MSRP Trailhunter. I'm just upset I didn't take it when I had the chance (they're hard to find here), thinking that the 2026 would come out in a month
