Hey Van thanks for your question and points. I’ll try my best to tackle them point by point.

1. The width will be reduced by half an inch and height increased by 2 inches. The real problem I might have is in the increase in scrub radius. But in terms of safety, these tires will provide better load bearing capacity than OEM falkens.

The pizza cutters are known to have better performance in snow than their wider counterparts.

2. Speedometer isn’t much of an issue, something that we will learn to adapt too

3. Narrower tires with lower psi actually offer more grip. And going through the snow in MB I think I will gain an edge. Not lose it

4. As for aesthetics, I don’t mind it at all

5. As for potential for increased wear, I’ve “offset” that as best as I could with the +30mm offset while increasing 2” in height. The narrow tires will mean I will be doing less wheel well modifications to fit 34.5” tires

Installed the tires and rims, slight rub on mudguards. Getting alignment tomorrow.

Looks awesome! I'm also in Winnipeg (Blue ORP). I asked about some tire details in another post but curious if the no rubbing (small trim to rear) was with your lift you have now or before?

lovely! I think I’ve seen you on the roads or my wife has at least. Seems there’s a few of us.

I got rubbing, on the flaps only, even with the lift. Without the lift would have been the same. As I understand, rubbing has more to do with offset and tire dimensions than it has to do with lift. Hope this helps

Sick build man! I'm also from Winnipeg with a 6th gen trd orp blue. It's all stock right now and it handled pretty well from yesterday's storm. I wonder how did the baja boss' handle? Looking to upgrade in the future.

Terrific, drove down the perimetere in crosswinds and it was fine. We've also been ice fishing on it with 2 feet of snow and its been great. I will say if your priority is winter grip, there are definitely better options in the Nokian Hakkapellitas LT3s!

Hey all! Some quick updates


I went with @CAMTuning with a Cobb Tuning Accessport. Cam was kind enough to preload the tune file so I could get it going as soon as I picked it up. A full review to be done later

Next, installing the Auxbeam RA80 Switch Panel (Purchased through Amazon)

I have no experience whatsoever with electricity or working on my car. The install took about 2 hours with me taking my time and double-checking all my work.

I opted to run the 10 feet long switch panel cable through the Driver's side firewall and ran it up behind the trim for a completely hidden install. I installed CaliRaisedLED's 2025 Auxbeam Switch Panel trim as well. It can be found by clicking here. Please note that I fixed the switch panel to the trim by using 2 small screws (1 on each side)that is supplied by Auxbeam.

Please note that I fuse tapped into the 10A fuse (Passenger side) "ECU IGP No.2." The fuse taps provided by Auxbeam are not compatible with the OEM fuses, so I was stumped. But if you flip over the Auxbeam Fuse and Relay Box Lid, you'll find spare fuses. I took the 10A spare fuse and placed it into the tap to complete. No CEL or warnings displayed!

Installed amber fog lights that came with the aftermarket grille.

Woolwax installaton and OkExpedition's Skid Plate. You can find it by clicking here. I picked this because it allowed for easy oil change (removeable panel for filter and oil drain plug) and I also did not have to deal with shipping from the USA.
