Hello All,
I recently purchased a product from CBI, and my experience has been nothing short of frustrating.
Here's a breakdown of the issues I encountered:

1. Unreasonably Long Lead Times:
Despite being told the product would ship within a certain timeframe (originally 4 weeks), I experienced significant delays without any proactive communication from CBI. This lack of transparency left me in the dark about the status of my order. I ended up waiting a total of about 7.5 - 8 weeks.

2. Incorrect Hardware Sizes:
Upon receiving the product, I discovered that most of the hardware components were the wrong size, making installation impossible without additional purchases. This oversight caused unnecessary delays and additional costs.

3. Lack of Customer Service:
When I reached out to CBI for assistance on the hardware issue, I was met with unhelpful responses and a lack of accountability.
They told me to reach out to the dealer directly. I purchased from the dealer, but the product came directly from CBI to my house. The dealer didn't even see the package.
It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for them.

4. No Installation Instructions:
To make matters worse, the product arrived without any installation instructions. This oversight forced me to spend extra time researching how to install the product and led to further delays..
The video that they reference on their site is not quite thorough enough when explaining the bolt that goes through the frame.

Given these issues, I would not recommend CBI to anyone at this time. The combination of poor communication, incorrect products, and lackluster customer service makes for a highly disappointing experience.
This was super disappointing, given the raving reviews about this company and the high price tag.
There were cheaper options out there, so I figured when I spent that much on what was to be a quality product, that I would receive the correct hardware and good service.

I was planning on purchasing the low pro roof rack, both rear molle panels, front bumper and ladder from them to complete my build. (that was to be vlogged)
but this plan has changed.
I plan on going through another company unless this is resolved.

Sorry for the fuss fest.
If anyone here works at or with CBI and would like to help me fix this, please message me.

Sorry for your experience. I am sort of in the same boat with your four points above, expect for the lead time. They shipped them about a week earlier than was expected. However, I am sitting at my local Toyota dealer, who is a CBI certified dealer. They told me all of the hardware, except for the two large bolts were not the correct sizes. They luckily had some bolts that fit, but it has taken them 2 1/2 hours or so to install them. Not sure if that's a CBI issue or a dealer issues.

Right there with ya regarding the install video as well. It really doesn't help at all with instructions on how to install them. I called with a few questions and while the person answering the phone was nice, they didn't know much about the product at all.

I'll be calling CBI on my way home to let them know what happened. Overall, it does see, like a good product and as soon as they are on, I'll report back on what I think.

Glad you all shared this. I’ve been considering their front bumper but will stay clear. Stuff happens but customer service issues are a deal breaker.

And I’ve been trying to get ahold of their CS all day. Left a message and texted. No reply… I was charged for the additional bolts the dealer had to provide, plus additional labor charges and I wanted to let CBI know and see what they would like to do. Well, hopefully their CS will call back and step up, otherwise a lot of people on here will switch over to Westcott or other brands.

I will say though, the CBI Rock Sliders with the kick outs do look good. They sit a bit lower than others it looks like, but I like that. I’ll get some pics a bit later today.

Thank you for your review. I have been looking at both CBI & Westcott rock sliders, but now mostly at Westcott. According to one of the reps at Westcott (Jason) they should have both an install video & on-line instructions for their rock sliders soon. The illustrations of the rock sliders - at the Westcott web site -- are for a 2024 4 Runner which does no one any good. I hope they can update that as well.

I’m a couple weeks past the estimated lead time on a pro rack. Prinsu side of things seem to be in the same boat.

Westscott Lo Pro looks slick. About an inch difference and 400lbs dynamic and 800lbs static. Prinsu is 700 and 1200. Not doing a rooftop tent so thinking about canceling the prinsu and snag a westscott lo pro.

Sorry for the delay in getting back. I finally was able to get my issue resolved with CBI. I would give their CS a 5/10 for timing. They were really slow to answer the phone and get back. It took weeks and many calls and emails to keep it top of mind for them. I will give them a 9/10 for the resolution of the issue. They did credit me back some $$'s for the added cost of the install and hardware at my local dealer. Good on them of that.

As of the quality of the product, so far I think they are pretty great. They do sit maybe a bit lower than other rock sliders, but I like that as they are more usable for a step up. I think they look very good as well. Here are some pics!
