Looks like I was overly optimistic . I do like the KMC wheels (Forged monoblocks) https://www.kmcwheels.com/kmc-impact-forged-monoblock. These are light (25.1 lb) but cost a bit ($699 each).

I searched high and low for low weight wheels and tires. My KMC's are just shy of 26lbs and my MT Baja Boss's are 44 lbs.

One of the best parts about these new Toyotas is you are able to fit a much bigger tire with very little work. Some slight trimming of plastics and gutting the wheel wells, you can fit 35s without issue.

This is fascinating, just put 285/75/18s (34.8" x 11.2") on my TRD Pro with stock rims and they hit the frame crash plate on the frame behind the front tire before full lock. I'll remove the crash plate this week and see if any other issues pop up.
