Toyota Brings the Buzz with Honeycomb and Hot Honey Colors for 2027 TRD Pro Models

July 28, 2026

PLANO, Texas (July 28, 2026) — Toyota is expanding its TRD Pro color palette for 2027 with the introduction of a new Honeycomb exterior color for Tundra, Sequoia and Tacoma, along with a slightly different shade, Hot Honey, for the 4Runner.

Agree or not, my point is that Toyota needs to fix its pricing. Their vehicles are simply too expensive for the quality they offer. The quality just isn't there, and the prices of new vehicles, especially body-on-frame models, have become far too high.
I also hope Toyota addresses the short, jerky shifts between 1st and 2nd gear, which many owners have reported. On top of that, they need to improve the interior lighting. The black interior is already very dark, and the factory LED lights are too dim, making the cabin feel even darker than it should.

Cool color, I wonder if they'll introduce another color on the Trailhunter.

Does anyone really want that color long term? Even the blue color they have now it's kind of cool but I would not probably want it for long term it would look dated really fast. That color seems better suited to wrap that you can remove IMO.

Also is there really two different colors or just two different names for same color? All 4 look to be the same color despite it saying the 4runner is different.

I'm 100% on board with wonky colors. OUT WITH THE GRAYSCALE! Black/white/silver/gray look great, but some of us don't live in black and white LOL

I keep vehicles a long time, but I'd 100% trade mine long before its time if they dropped Solar Octane or Voodoo blue again. I'd have to fight my wife and my accountant, but these hands are rated E for everyone.

As a current 5th Gen owner in Lime Rush and waiting for a 6th Gen in Wave Maker, I love bright colors. With that said I won't be cancelling my 2026 "order".
Wave Maker > Hot Honey IMHO

I agree! I thought Heritage Blue was a nice color when I first saw it. But then, I kept seeing it and seeing it and it's such a lifeless shade of blue. I was considering it for my car, but my wife talked me out of it pretty easily. She said it does not have staying power, and I agree.

As far as this yellow: ehh. I'm glad they're trying something other than grayscale, but yellow is just one of those colors that belongs on taxis, or 2005 Xterras imo

I'd go Smurf before Corn Dog, but I ain't mad about the yellow for sure. They haven't had yellow in a LONG time. I'd expect they'll sell a pile for that reason alone.

I'm not talking about heritage blue I was talking about the bright blue color.

Heritage will age ok. Some of these ok there will not. Even mud bath type in 10 years you will be like I know exactly when they came out. Darker blues , darker greens, red even a normal yellow all would age fine.

This is color feels like the VonDutch of car colors
