Hi, My TRD Pro has been sitting in Port for over 3 months now. It keeps getting pushed back. The dealers is frustrated and has been fantastic to deal with. Is anyone else in the same boat? Does anyone know why the delay? Thanks in advance.

I Put a deposit on a Pro in January and was told by the dealer in early March it was at the port on a quality hold for 30-60 days. Still waiting, No movement or change since it arrived.
dealer is getting in lower grade 4Runners that were allocated well after mine and it’s not like you can find one on a lot especially in black or ice cap because they all have deposits on them in a 500 mile radius.

May I ask what has your dealer done for you to say they have been fantastic to deal with? My salesperson replies to my texts but that's it. I put a deposit on an Ice Cap TRD Pro about a month ago and no new update.

Yeah I have two depots, one is secondary if first buyer backs out. I have been supplying my number 1 (or primary) dealer with information. I seem to know more than they do. They normally call me at least once a week, but not this week. They claim to be on a QC hold but there are rumored part shortages. AI seems to agree if you can trust that source.
Both TRD Pros are in the New Jersey port they arrived March 2-3. Beginning of May is my guess as to them being released to transport. I thought the Pro would arrive while on vacation in March was worried I would miss out. Now gearing up for trip to Alaska for 3 weeks in the beginning of May, so it will show up as I board my flight. They promised to hold it for me we shall see.

Don't have a deposit on one but I have been looking at possibly getting a Pro in underground. I haven't seen any on the east coast on actual dealer lots. I was debating waiting for another month as that looks like Toyota will announce the new Pro color for 2027. Most of the pros I have actually seen on lots are in Wave runner (which I don't like). I was wondering why so few Pros were being released. If there's a hold I wonder what it's for. I can wait until fall if I have to but only if I have to.

They give me updates when they have them. It’s not always the news I want but they want to get it to me just as much as I want it. At the end of the day they don’t have any control over it and they do not make a $0.01 untill it gets here.

I had a ORP hybrid on order but same thing happened to me, it’s been on quality hold for around a month and a half. I just swapped my deposit to a non-hybrid, the dealership said I should be getting mine before the hybrid arrives

Same situation here, I have a deposit on an Ice Cap TRD Pro. Was originally told 45 days, then. Month later I got a call saying congratulations, it’ll be here within a week. Now I’m being told it’s on a QC hold in Fort Lauderdale with no explanation and no ETA.
What’s frustrating is I even contacted Toyota customer service directly because my dealer couldn’t give me any information. The rep was friendly until I gave her my VIN.. Her whole demeanor changed and she suddenly couldn’t help me and redirected me back to the dealer. That alone tells me this is a known, documented situation at the corporate level.

Has anyone else’s vehicle been processed through Fort Lauderdale specifically? I’m curious whether the hold location matters, wondering if this is port processing related rather than a factory issue. Would love to know if anyone has gotten a specific hold code out of their dealer or Toyota directly. Good luck Team.

They are on a nationwide hold. All Pros and Trailhunters possibly other trims are being held against our will. There are 3 confirmed Pros waiting to greet their owners in the New Jersey port. Plus many many more awaiting unknown owners.

I’m in the northeast waiting for a Pro that I put a deposit on in January with an expected delivery of early to mid March. Was told by dealer it was on 30-60 day hold the minute it reached the port in early March. Dealer said it was mainly the Pros, trailhunters and upper trims getting held.

Yeah brother, fingers crossed for ya!
Makes me wonder if that’s what it is-the specialty parts for the Pro’s and the Trailhunters..?

Do a search within a 500mile radius of TRD Pros you’ll have no issue finding one it just might not be in your state.

I am in Canada, however, I know there is nothing at all for sale in the country that’s on ground.
