2025 4Runner TRD Pro Underground Build: TE37 +0 offset on stock 265/70/18 tires, XPEL PPF, ceramic undercoating

Here is my build thread for this 2025 TRD Pro in underground finish.

Picked up brand new in July 2025. First order of business was to get the high impact areas protected with PPF. Next get the undercarriage protected with ceramic coating. Last but not least, my ADHD can’t stand the TRD 7 split spoke wheels on a six lug truck, so those needed to go. Wheels and tires can have a tremendous effect on the vehicles performance and range. Not wanting to compromise, I elected to keep the tires stock and go with lighter JDM forged Volk TE37 wheels weighing in at 19 lbs each vs stock TRD at 29 lbs.

Exterior:
-Full Xpel Ultimate PPF front bumper, hood, fenders, fender flares (front and rear), and bottom of doors
-Ceramic coating at Accutint
-Full undercarriage ceramic undercoat at CryoMode - see my writeup thread
-SXTH element recovery points
-Operation mod out door lights

Interior:
-Toyota all weather mats
-Lasfit rear seat protectors all weather mats

Wheels:
-Volk TE37 18x9 with 0 offset (in gunmetal color)
-Rays center caps
-Stock 265/70/18

Update: Personally I like this offset. Small amount of poke. Zero rub on stock tires. Additional pics below.

Do you have any front view straight on shots to see how far out past the fender flairs the tires sit with the 0 offset?
I’m trying to decide on wheels for my TH and what offset I want.

Personally I like this offset. Small amount of poke. Zero rub on stock tires. Additional pics below.

Thanks! The Volks are 19 lbs per wheel. TRD’s are 29 lbs per wheel. Saves 40 lbs of rotational weight. Total of 50 lbs sprung weight if including the full size spare wheel.

Awesome weight savings, I grew up in the JDM car scene where everyone talked about saving ounces to improve performance and with the 4runner I never see anyone mention weights about wheels, sometimes tires though.

Let us know if you see an improvement in fuel consumption.
