Greenlane sliders with rear kickout - installed photos & review

I have the Greenlane sliders with kickout. Super happy with fit, finish, and functionality.

A few more photos and comments on how the Greenlane rock sliders/steps are working out….

What I like…

• A combined rock slider and step is what I wanted (I ordered the full top deck)
• Rear kickout is super convenient for accessing roof cargo. The width means I don’t need to open the door to use it as a step.
• Width of step at front door is wide enough for anyone that’s used it so far. But not too wide.
• Aluminum (I wanted the weight savings and it’s what I need for my usage)
• Beefy looking (visually I think they look great)
• Mounts to the existing holes in the frame (check if your frame holes are threaded, otherwise you can buy the rivnuts they use when they install).
• The people at Greenlane were great to deal with.

I ordered the flat step. They can be ordered with step slanted up for off-roading.

What I don’t like…

• haven’t found anything I don’t like at this point.

I had some on my 5th gen- great product!

Looks great! Did your frame have mounts for sliders or did you have to drill any holes? What size KO3s are you running?

Holes were all there, but not threaded. Apparently some 4Runners came threaded but not all. So they needed some extra hardware (Greenlane sells a hardware kit for this purpose).
I’m running 285/70/18s on the TRD upgrade wheel which is a +45 offset. No rubbing, no trimming, and crash plate did not have to be removed. I do have a 3/8” strut spacer, but I think everything would still fit fine without it. Loving the K03s so far. I’m coming from K02s. K03s balanced well and smoother ride IMO.

Looks great! I have been debating whether to get the kickouts or not and you may have just convinced me to do it. Appreciate the photos!

The Greenlane install video on youtube says that they believe all the Hybrids have the pre-threaded frame (shared with the LC) and all the non-hybrids don't. I just confirmed my Hybrid ORP has them threaded so seems to hold true.

Nice! Saves you some hassle and money if they’re already threaded.

I was able to see both the kickout and non-kickout type installed and I liked the looks of the kickout option. Plus with the extra functionality it was an easy decision for me.
