Does the camera protrusion on an iPhone compromise wireless charging? The camera’s doesn’t allow the back of the phone to sit flat. The phone gets very warm and only charges to about 80 %.

I have an Apple case on my 16 Max and it works just fine in our '25 TRDORP and Pro. I've only been in the vehicles no more than 30 minutes at a time, so wouldn't know about the 80% charging, but Toyota has a much better solution for a phone dock than Ford. Putting and removing the phone on the charging area in my F350 is very cumbersome. I do wish 4Runner had a charging dock side by side instead of having to use a cable for the passenger

Mine seems a little hit or miss but
I think it's android auto using as much as it charges. Had the same issue on a wireless charger I put in my 21. If I turn off aa it seems to charge better

I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the cameras protrude (I don't use a case) and the wireless charging bay charges it just fine.

I have a battery case on my iPhone 16 Pro which protrudes past the cameras and that still has a problem with the wireless charging. To be fair, a desktop wireless charger doesn't work well either. I've resorted to just plugging it in. Pity that charging standard isn't more forgiving on spacing.

My 16ProMax with case & camera protrusion charges fine. You may be hitting the 80% limit because you have "Optimized Battery Charging" or "Charge Limit" turned on on your phone. Check in settings.

I have a Galaxy Z5 Flip Phone and its in a case that has a hinge so the phone does not sit flat on the charging dock. Its usually fully charged overnight so I don't use the dock much. The big problem is that when I do use the dock (with the case removed) I forget to take my phone with me when I exit the vehicle. But that is one me, lol, or rather not on me.
