I was in the area for the last few days and escaped just in time. Traffic already sucks over there but it was getting bad by mid day Thursday. The line of rigs working there way from the west side over to Central Oregon told me all I needed to know.

(Traffic on the Mt Hood side will be interesting as well. Gambler 500 is also currently going on.)

I also find it ironic that all hotels in the area are booked up because of the rally. There were so many roof top tents in the hotel parking lot.

I have a RTT but if I am staying in a city yeah I'm staying in a hotel. They are nice but come on. Now if I was starting in a hotel when I had a sprinter or something that had a shower that's a different story.

Oh I get it, as I get older the hot shower and big bed get nicer. lol. Still funny to see a bunch of roof tops lined up at the hotel.

Plenty of nice dispersed camping option near the "city" of Redmond OR. I camped at my usual spot on Friday night and found a new one on the way home on Saturday.

Enjoyed the expo, especially getting to chat with Braden from Solid Wood Worx and Justin from Dissent Off Road. Many cool rigs as usual.
